A Glades County man puts on a blonde wig, sunglasses, and a dress in a failed attempt to slip past deputies investigating a stolen boat.

Glades County deputies were investigating a recovered stolen boat near the Old Calusa Lodge in Lakeport on April 26, 2024, when they spotted a person who appeared to be a blonde woman in oversized sunglasses leaving a nearby home. The person was actually Joshua Kolotka, 33, wearing a light blue feather-patterned dress and a wig over his own clothes. Deputies recognized him despite the disguise and also linked him to the theft of a John Deere Gator utility vehicle. He was arrested on the boat and Gator theft charges along with two outstanding warrants out of Okeechobee County and booked into the Glades County Jail without bond.
