A Madison man makes finger guns and shouts that he's robbing a Waffle House, then walks out with nothing but a handful of napkins.

Edward William Rodriguez, 28, walked into a Madison Waffle House with a small dog around 8 p.m. on October 18, 2021, made his hands into the shape of a gun, and shouted, 'get on the ground, y'all are getting robbed!' according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office. Witnesses said he had no actual weapon, just his fingers pointed like a pistol, and his entire haul from the stickup was a handful of napkins before he fled. Deputies found him at his home, where he admitted to the napkin robbery while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He was arrested and charged with unarmed robbery and assault.
