Content note
This incident involved a real child ingesting heroin and requiring emergency medical treatment: there is no comedic angle here.
A Florida man brought his 16-month-old daughter to a fire station after she ingested heroin, then allegedly threatened the man he blamed for it.
Nathaniel Clay, 28, walked into a Melbourne Fire Department station on September 4, 2020, and told firefighters his 16-month-old daughter may have swallowed drugs. She was rushed to a hospital and given three doses of Narcan after a brown substance found on her clothing tested positive for heroin. Clay told investigators the girl had been exposed to the drug while visiting an acquaintance elsewhere in the city, then admitted he had pulled a gun on that person and threatened to shoot him if he told anyone what happened. Melbourne police arrested Clay and charged him with child neglect.
