A Cape Coral man grabs a sword with a roughly three-foot blade from his truck and raises it at his neighbor during a dispute before fleeing the scene.

Cape Coral police say Raul Elosegui Fernandez, 41, retrieved a tan-handled sword with a blue metal blade roughly three feet long from his truck during an argument with his neighbor on Everest Parkway on March 25, 2026, raised it above his shoulder, and advanced on the neighbor while making threats. The neighbor retreated inside and called police, and officers later found the sword inside Fernandez's truck at his home. He was arrested at the scene and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
