A Fort Myers man strips naked at a Planet Fitness after being told to leave at closing, tries and fails to start a bathroom fire, then hides from deputies inside a tanning bed.

Staff at a Planet Fitness on South Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers asked 25-year-old Henrry Antunez-Avarado to leave at closing time on July 22, 2025, and he responded by stripping off his clothes and sprinting naked through the gym. Surveillance video showed him crawling into the ceiling and knocking down tiles, lying unclothed on a hydromassage bed, and attempting to start a fire in a bathroom before deputies found him hiding inside a tanning bed. The fire never caught, but he was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, arson, criminal mischief, and providing false information to law enforcement.
