A homeowner catches a man breaking into his vacant house, with a horse in tow.
Homeowner Steve Ferguson got a security alert showing a man wandering his Pasco County property with a horse beside him. When confronted, 52-year-old Lonnie Maddox, known locally as 'Rooster,' said the horse had broken into the yard and he'd followed it in to retrieve it. Surveillance video told a different story: Maddox tried the padlocked front door before breaking a back window to get inside. He didn't own the horse. It had been borrowed and was later returned to its actual owner. Maddox was charged with burglary of a dwelling.
