A Lake City man robs a meat market wearing nothing but a face covering and is tracked down after leaving a trail of clothing along his escape route.

Lake City police say 25-year-old Kobe Watkins robbed BJ's Meat Market on Main Boulevard on the night of December 23, 2025, wearing no clothing except a covering over his face. Surveillance footage and a trail of clothing he shed along his escape route helped officers set up a perimeter and quickly locate him nearby. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation before being booked into the Columbia County jail on charges of robbery with a weapon, exposure of sexual organs, grand theft, and criminal mischief.
