A man slits the throats of two pet peacocks and fries them up specifically to spite the neighbor who'd been feeding them.

Pasco County deputies arrested 61-year-old Craig Vogt of Hudson after he admitted to killing two pet peacocks by cutting their necks with a knife, bleeding them out, and cooking them in a frying pan. Vogt had been in an ongoing dispute with a neighbor over the neighbor feeding the birds, and left a letter in the neighbor's mailbox confessing to the killings and explaining he'd done it 'out of spite' to make his point. While being taken to jail, Vogt told deputies he planned to kill his remaining peacocks too, so no one else could take them. He was charged with aggravated animal cruelty, a third-degree felony.
