Pretty wild
A late-night bike stop over a missing headlight turns up a meth pipe and a week-old raccoon riding along in the woman's backpack.
Clearwater police stopped 43-year-old Lindsay Rodewald around midnight for riding her bicycle without a headlight. During the stop, officers found a broken glass pipe with methamphetamine residue in her backpack, along with a chittering baby raccoon, believed to be about a week old, tucked inside alongside it. Rodewald told officers she'd 'forgotten' the raccoon was in there. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, while the raccoon was taken to a Tampa veterinary emergency clinic to be cared for alongside other orphaned raccoons before an eventual release into the wild.
