Pretty wild
A wanted Florida woman flees deputies into the woods, becomes stranded on a peninsula across a canal, and has to be retrieved by a borrowed canoe.
Tiffani Driggers, 28, ran into a wooded area on September 18, 2026 after Flagler County deputies responded to a trespassing complaint at a self-storage facility, prompting a search that included a K-9 unit, a drone, and a helicopter. Hours later a resident heard her calling for help from a wooded peninsula surrounded by a canal, and deputies borrowed a neighbor's canoe to paddle out and retrieve the exhausted, stranded fugitive. Driggers, who had an active felony violation-of-probation warrant, was evaluated by fire rescue and then booked and held without bond. Sheriff Rick Staly said, 'Whether it takes a patrol car, K-9, drone, helicopter, or canoe, our deputies will find a way to get the job done.'
