Pretty wild
A DUI suspect tells deputies his dog, not him, was actually behind the wheel of the car.
Manatee County deputies chased down 26-year-old Reliford Cooper III after clocking him speeding around 7:45 p.m. As he was being handcuffed on suspicion of DUI with damage to a person or property, Cooper told deputies, 'I wasn't driving that car.' Pressed for an explanation, he elaborated: 'My dog was driving that car.' There was no dog in the vehicle.
