Pretty wild
A Florida man's failed attempt to steal a septic tank in a sedan is followed by a successful one in a rented U-Haul truck the very next day.
Alfio Nocifora allegedly tried to steal a septic tank from a Dunnellon construction site using his 2013 Toyota Corolla on February 22, 2026, but fled when a Jeep Cherokee pulled up to the site. He returned the next day with a rented U-Haul truck, loaded up the septic tank along with about $2,500 worth of electrical pipe, and covered the truck's license plate and U-Haul ID number with tape. Marion County deputies said surveillance video from both days led them straight to him, and he was charged with grand theft, unlawful use of a two-way device, and intentionally obscuring a license plate during the commission of a crime.
