A Florida man allegedly smashed his way into a Wendy's with a sprinkler pipe, then stopped to make himself a sandwich and pocket some chicken nuggets.

Boynton Beach police say Devin Driver, 28, ripped a sprinkler pipe out of the ground near a Wendy's drive-thru on Woolbright Road on September 19, 2025, used it to smash windows, then hurled a rock through the drive-thru window and climbed inside. Once in the kitchen, Driver made himself a sandwich and pocketed some chicken nuggets before officers arrived. When police tried to arrest him, he swung at them and had to be subdued with a Taser, then spat on and struck an officer while resisting. He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, throwing a deadly missile, resisting arrest with violence, and three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer.
